+ More pokémon to capture pre and post game. I could’ve cleared it faster but I got kinda hooked on hunting… My longest savefile clocked over 400 hours… So I got fairly high expectations for this one… I just finished first game with 18 hours in. I played it more than any other game ever (probably I’ve played it more than Aion). Original Ruby is probably the most played game ever for me when I was a kid. Okay, so I recently bought used 3DS along with Pokémon Omega Ruby. I’d rather play Fire Red or Leaf Green now. Yeah it was simple times… but I don’t miss it that much. Other thing I can’t really trash about is the lack of depth that came with 2nd and 3rd generation. There is some other problems too which I can’t really criticize much like how you can’t complete pokédex anymore without glitches or hacking. That was so unnecessary since there is no way to “aim”. Sprites are bad. There was enough space in the cartridges for better artwork, just GameFreak ran out of time.Best special attacker was also the best special tank (Mewtwo) Special Defense and Special Attack were one same stat Special.Misty was painful gym leader because that Starmie kept landing on Critical Bubblebeam kept one-shotting your Pikachu over and over again. All fast pokémon were dealing critical hits all the **** time. Critical hit ratio was dependent on pokémon’s Speed stat. This made it possible for fast sweepers like Gengar to keep you slept forever. Sleep status effect made you unable to to fight for 2-5 turns + 1 turn was for “waking up”.You can get stuck in a battle against high level monster that has Rest or Recover. Trainer’s pokémon don’t have PP and therefore can’t run out of moves. ![]() In Gen 1 moves like Bind and Wrap prevented you from using moves until they ended (but you still were able to switch out). You know, the good old times when there was only 151 pokémon and the game was hard etc…I still find shining nostalgia in Kanto region and I love the creatures itself.īut the gameplay hasn’t aged well. I bough Pokémon Yellow for virtual console to live again my childhood’s memories of this gen (I got my Pokémon Red back in 1998). ![]() Instances are pretty much copypasted from previous patches. You get your zerg v.s zerg openworld pvp for sure in Lakrum, 1 fortress siege, DG, Runatorium. There isn’t really anything new or interesting to do if you’ve played the game in 3.0, 4.0 or 5.0 patches. Because of the statement above, transformation/stigma/minion are all locked behind a paywall unless there is some kind event or getting lucky in PvE grind. Needless to say you can’t buy much with that you gain ingame without subcription. You can gain 5-30 Quna from some ridiculous PvP grind like 200 wins in DG or 50 wins in arena. Scrolls are replaced with potions and there are like 100 different kinds and they take lots of space from inventory Kinah sources have been crippled, even buying potions is a struggle + Magical crafting is lot faster to level up + You get free pvp and pve set to start with, everyone starts as equal I just got to level 80 in KR about 1 hour ago.
